Part 2 of our vacation
Finally we had arrived at Disney World. We were all so excited. We had made such good time that we decided to add a day to our Disney Reservation instead of stopping at an offsite hotel. So not only were we at Disney, but we were there a day early.

We couldn't wait to get out of the car, so even though we were all looking very rough from our long car ride we all got out and went to check in and explore the hotel lobby.
Some pics of the kids in the lobby. Notice they still have their bows from the wedding the day before. LOL. At least they have bows in at all. :)

And a picture of the lake that the rooms surround. It was very nice. It wasn't the hotel I would have chosen when we were making reservations, but Ashley had heard good things about it and it is the only Moderate Disney hotel that has Queen beds instead of Double which sounded very good to me. As it turned out I am thrilled that we stayed here. I had a plan that I wanted to stay at a different hotel every time we visit Disney until we had tried them all. That will be a difficult plan to stick with now. I really fell in love with this hotel.

It was now time to head to our rooms and get unpacked.

These pictures were only taken about an hour apart. It didn't take us long to make a disaster of the room.
And we quickly took the kids out to explore the grounds.

They were full of energy.

Now time for a swim. The guys were in the room watching the Cowboys.

We headed back to the hotel to get ready for bed. Next day was going to be a fun filled day at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Water Fun and a Sleepover!
Today Ashley and I took the girls to a little water park. They have a kiddie area with slides and stuff, a pool, a big slide and a lazy river. They were very excited to go.
Miss Addison. That girl is so fast I never got a good picture of her.
Maddie finishing on the little slide.
Maycee 'water bombing' people in the lazy river.

The BIG slide!
Uh Oh! Not quite tall enough.
It is so tough being the little sister :(
She was not happy about this height rule. I really felt sorry for her because there weren't any good size slides for her. Maddie told her to eat more vegetables so she could grow taller and be able to ride. That really ticked her off (which I can understand because she is definitely the better eater when it comes to vegetables!)
Maddie waiting her turn.

It's snack time!
Sweet baby girl. She loved splashing in the water.

After the water park, Addison came to spend the night with us. We had to come straight home to get ready for cheer practice. They have been having practice 3 times a week for 1.5 hours each day. Wow! It's kept us busy, but they LOVE it. Addison said she couldn't go to cheerleading practice because she didn't have her cheerleading suit. So we had to find her one. I wouldn't want to send the girl the cheer practice unprepared. (No pictures from tonight's practice, but here is one from the practice she came to a week ago. Notice she was wearing a cheerleading suit that day also.)
After practice we came home to have breakfast for dinner (pancakes and bacon), the girls played barbies and candy land while Guy and I cooked. After that is was bathtime.

Beach and Baby Shower
In the middle of July we went down to Beaumont for Mickie's Baby shower. Mickie and I have been friends since Elementary school. She is pregnant with her first little girl Catherine Nicole and I couldn't be more happy for her. She is due August 31 and I can't wait until it is time to meet her. The shower was on Sunday so went down on Friday and stayed the whole weekend. I don't have any pictures from the shower, but a friend sent me this picture 6 of us that were all friends in school.

It was so nice to see them all. Three of them I hadn't seen since graduation, Amie I haven't seen since Maddie was still riding in her infant carrier carseat and I talk to Mickie at least once a week, but don't get to see her near enough.
On Saturday, we went to Crystal Beach. The last time we had been there was when I wrote this post about the damage from Hurricane Ike. It has improved so much. I was really impressed with the progress that they have made. There are still lots of things that are gone that we missed (especially the water slide) and lots of destruction, but lots of cabins are repaired or rebuilt and there were several resteraunts back open.
Anyway we went with Laurie, Nat, Sarah and Linh, Michael and Caleb. Everyone had a great time except Maycee. She wasn't herself all day. She got sand in her eyes and cried for a long time, fell on the skim board and skinned her booty all up on the shells and fell asleep. Later she came down with a high fever. I felt really bad for her because she would have had so much fun if she had been feeling better. She turned out to have a virus. :(

Nat, Caleb, Maddie and Maycee. They went over to look at the shark head and were yelling "Dead Fish" when Guy was taking their picture. So Silly!

The kids loved grabbing the bait fish that Michael and Nat were catching and throwing them in the bucket.
Enjoying the water.
Maddie on the skim board. I have no idea why the picture looks this way, it is kinda creepy though. Almost like you can see through her???
Maycee falling off the skim board. This is when she skinned up her booty.
