Field Day

Field Day was last Thursday, a nice start to the long Memorial Day Weekend.   It was rescheduled from a rainy day a few weeks ago.

We started the day out with Friday Morning Live and watching Maddie be recognized as the Go Getter for her class.

Then we headed out for some Field Day fun!  Maddie's class all made pink headbands that they painted in class.

This is Maddie's friend.  They share a love of big bows.  Have I mentioned how happy I am that Maddie has decided she loves bows again. :-)

Maddie's class started off with some muddy slipnsliding.

Her teacher even got in on the fun.  What a great teacher!!

Maycee had fun with her friends too!

Water balloon tossing.

Maycee And her friend from her class.

Maycee on the muddy slipnslide. She managed to not get muddy.  I'm not sure how.

Guy volunteered at the Football Toss so the girls were excited when they finally made it to his station.

The girls were super excited that Guy took the day off to volunteer at their school.

More friend fun!

Hello Summer!! 🌞

Memorial Day we spent the day at the athletic center enjoying some fun in the sun with Ashley, Adam, Addison and Kennedi.

It was too chilly for me to be interested in the pool, or getting splashed, but the kids sure did have a great time.

Kennedi's shivering in this pic, but the kids said it wasn't cold once you got in. 😳

We ran into lots of friends while we were there.  I only got a pic with one though. Maycee's friend from her Kindergarten class.   He is a sweetie and and played great with all the girls.

Kennedi has been taking swimming lessons and she showed us how brave she is now.

It was a great day and we all enjoyed some sunshine!!

Lunch at the American Girl Bistro

Saturday our Daisy troop enjoyed an afternoon at the American Girl Bistro as a celebration of meeting their goal to sell 1000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies. They actually more than double their goal. It was a fun afternoon.

Ward/From Wedding ....A Little Late :-}

Wow...It's been one day short of a month since I blogged. I actually wrote this post a while ago, but didn't have the pictures uploaded yet. I've been sewing like crazy instead of blogging. Anyway here are the pics from the wedding.

This weekend we went to Beaumont for Danielle and Keith's Wedding. Maddie and Maycee were flower girls in the wedding. We had a great time.

Friday we took Maddie out of school early and headed down for the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner. It rained the whole way and we made it just in time to stop at Laurie and Nat's house and change clothes and head over to the church.

After the rehearsal, we were going to dinner at Suga's. Maddie and Maycee went bowling with Laurie and Nat. Guy and I had a great time at the rehearsal dinner and then headed over the the Star Bar at Crockett Street afterwards. Everyone danced the night away. =}

The next morning we supposed to meet up for hair appts at 10 am. Well lets just say that didn't happen. I got a text from Danielle at 11 wondering where everyone was and I was just getting in the shower and still had a 30 minute drive. We finally made it though.

Here are some of the flower girls playing around that morning.

Waiting for the wedding to start.

Danielle
The Reception ...everything was beautiful. There was lots of dancing as you can see from the pictures. All of the flower girls were very excited when they were called to the dance floor to dance to Party in the USA with Danielle. It was the cutest. They also played Little Ole Wine Drinker me. LOL You couldn't get that many Ward's together and not play it at least once.

The girls had a great time being flower girls for Danielle and Keith. I am so thankful that they had the opportunity. It was a great weekend. It was good to get the chance to visit so many family and friends that we don't get to see as often as we would like to.

Congratulations Danielle and Keith!!

Girls Night Out (Popstar Style)

The whole group. Don't they make cute popstars? Actually it was the best we could do with 1 hours notice.
Friday night I got an email from Sweet and Sassy that they were having a girls night out. It included pizza, drinks, hairstyles, makeup, nail polish, 2.5 of free time for Mom and Dad and best of all a ride in the Pink LIMO. They have been wanting to ride in that limo since this place opened . They were having a special if you signed up as a group, so we got Maddie, Maycee, Addison, Elli and Kara signed up to go together.
It didn't take long for them to head back and join the fun. I had to remind them to tell us bye!
Lauren stopped and bought them all digital cameras. (Thanks Lauren!) You can see them in their hands in this picture and you can also see Addison in the background getting her nails done. I put their names on them, but Addison, Maycee and Elli took the paper covers with their names off. Now their cameras are all messed up and Maycee is very adamant that the pictures she ended up with are not hers because it is full of pictures of kids she doesn't know and she didn't take pictures of kids she doesn't know.
I guess I have to believe her and feel bad for her because here is a picture of her taking Elli's picture and there are no pictures of Elli on the camera she ended up with. This is very upsetting to a 4 year old. :( , but we have had a long discussion about why I put her name on it and why she should leave the name on it next time. Hopefully she learned from it. We arrived a little early to pick them up and they were still enjoying some music and the runway.
