On Sunday, we took the kids to the Museum on Nature and Science. It is in Fair Park so a pretty long drive for us, but I had heard good things about it. Even better was that Ashley had told me that on the first weekend of every month you could get in for free with your Bank of America card. That meant we would only have to pay for the kids.
So I looked it up on the internet, researched what the kids would like there and checked the time they were open. Apparently I didn't pay enough attention because I read that they opened at 10, but when we got there at 11 it was like that episode of Vacation with Chevy Chase when they pull up at the closed down theme park. Not a person in site and only 2 cars in the parking lot. I quickly realized my mistake and we had a long wait in the car. We were able to keep the kids enterained by giving up our phones for them to play games on.

We did finally get in and it was worth the wait. There was so much for the kids to do there.
A very neat heat sensor thing that everyone enjoyed!
Maddie checking out this pingpong ball floating on air. She was fascinated by this.
Maddie, Maycee and Addison blowing bubbles.
Guy blowing bubbles.
Maycee and Guy playing the xylophone.
Maddie and Maycee looking in the microscopes.
Addison and Maddie in the water play room.
Maycee dressed up like a fire-fighter.
Maddie and Maycee trying out the rock climbing wall.
Maycee, Guy and Maddie. Maycee riding the "tractor" in the farm.
Guy and Maddie milking the cow.
Maycee collecting eggs in the farm. She really enjoyed the farm area.
Maddie and Maycee digging for dinosaur fossils. They both loved this area. We had to come back here a second time.
This is what happens when we try to get a group picture at the end of the day.
The front of the museum. See the kids at the very bottom. This came out much better than the ones we tried inside. Too bad they are the size of ants in this one when they decided to sit nicely and smile for the camera :-)
